CD REVIEW: KINGS OF BROADWAY by Kings Of Broadway

KINGS OF BROADWAY by Kings Of Broadway
(Pride & Joy Music)

Originally formed in 2011, Kings Of Broadway come on to the scene out to make one hell of first impression with their self titled debut outing. The band is comprised of,  Tiziano Spigno (vocals)Aldo Lonobile, one of the most recognized guitar players/composers from the Italian metal scene, founder member of bands like Secret Sphere, Civilization One and Shadowspell, on guitar, Ricky Messeri on guitar, JJ Andreaone on bass (Odd Dimension, A Perfect Day) and Luca Cartasegna (ex-Secret Sphere) on drums. Listening to it while I write, this album definitely rocks. Starts out really heavy with a infused classic hard rock vibe with hints of more modern progressive influences with lots of double bass drums and strong guitars. Highlights include, "First Day Of My Life", "Shallow Ground", Never Enough", "Dancing On The Edge" and "Hit The Ground". The songwriting, musicianship and vocals of Tiziano Spigno all add up to listening to something special allowing a listener to enjoy the ride. Yes, they're heavy, but not overly so, let's just say they're heavy enough for their drive and energy to benefit from that heft. It's refreshing to find and listen to a band like Kings Of Broadway that holds true to all the things a great rock band should be! And with a bit of luck, a band that will be on the name of everyone's lips in the coming years.
 Highly Recommended
