CD REVIEW: II by Hobosexual

II by Hobosexual
(Independent Release)

Seattle rock duo known as Hobosexual are back with their sophomore release, 'II'.  While the name of the band may throw you off, make no mistake this duo serve up a premium blend of rock music. Ben Harwood: Guitars/Vocals and Jeff Silva: Drums/Spirit Guide. Hobosexual are a  mixture of go for the throat vocals, ferocious drumming and guitars that provides intricate detail as well as a rumble of sonic rock ecstasy. The sound is a result of a lineage that stretches from present day heroes AC/DC to the influential T-Rex, and all the way back to early blues pioneers... yet this huge wall of sound emerges from just two members. 12 tracks total all  are cool, rocking, unique and catchy..." Switchblade Suburbia", ace..."Ghettoblaster "...amazing, " Sex Destroyer "...great song...not one dud, all killer, no filler. This album is just a cut above, with lyrics reminiscent of the bizarre, violent pictures conjured by the words of Coheed & Cambria, mixed with execution that pairs fuzzy, vintage sound with a very modern stylistic approach. Fans of any of the aforementioned bands would likely enjoy this one. Hobosexual are a crushing rock combo, plain and simple. It's hard to believe that this is a duo with only aguitar and a drum set. Needless to say, I'm very impressed with Hobosexual and they are helping bring rock back to its glory days! -Highly Recommended
