CD REVIEW: NAVIGATE THE SUNRISE by HAILMARY

NAVIGATE THE SUNRISE by Hailmary
(Independent Release)

'Navigate The Sunrise' the latest release from Australian rockers, Hailmary is full of raw emotion and power. This is the band's fourth release. It's heavy, it's aggressive, and it's deep. Hailmary is, Kevin Curran (Vocals /Guitar), Vas Shevstov (Drums / Percussion / Vocals), Todd Fishwick (Guitar / Vocals), and Ben Elphick (Guitar / Vocals). 'Navigate The Sunrise', produced by Jeff Tomei (Jerry Cantrell, Smashing Pumpkins, Skid Row), hits you like a ten ton brick and its like you're on a ride that scares your pants off but you don't want to get off! Hailmary's music is like a heavier version of Stone Temple Pilots or Alice in Chains. Right out the gate the band waste no time and go for the throat as the album explodes out of your speakers with, "Liar In My Chair", a balls out rocker that packs a serious punch with raw power and passion. The next two tracks, "Navigate The Sunrise" and "Possible" are all out rockers that deliver the goods, guaranteed to wet and satisfy your rock and roll appetite! Then there is "Waiting For My Time" a groove laden track that will be stuck in your head for days that has the STP meets Soundgarden vibe to it. But the real treat here for me is the album closer, the rocking "My Song", I couldn't play this song loud enough! Overall, 'Navigate The Sunrise' by Hailmary is a great recording by a truly amazing band. Turn your stereo up loud, put 'Navigate The Sunrise' on and let the good times roll! - Highly Recommended
