CD REVIEW: ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD by The New Roses

ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD by The New Roses
(Napalm Records)

The German based rockers The New Roses return with their third release, ' One More For The Road',  a rowdy package of hard driving riffs, right off the mark, throw in a few screeching breaks, a couple laid back soulful bluesy tunes, combined with powerhouse vocals and you have something unique. One thing is for certain it's a adrenaline rush that will have you rocking and rolling as soon as you press play. The band is comprised of founding member, Timmy Rough on vocals and guitar, guitarist Norman Bites, bassist Hardy and on drums, Urban Berz. This new album dishes out a energized blues rock vibe that come right at you at forefront.  Kicking off the album with the rocking, "Quarter To Twelve" setting the table for more fuel injected rockers to follow with, "My Own Worst Enemy", "Every Wildheart", "Forever Never Comes" and the first single for the track "Life Aint Easy (For A Boy With Long Hair)“. The band also offer up three bonus songs " Do I Look Scared", "The Storm" and "Nitro". There is a freshness and spark to the songs that give them a magical type quality when the music is coming out of your speakers. Overall, a powerhouse of a album that returns to rock music's best days without sounding the least bit dated. I'm a bit surprised that this band is not more well known yet, but hopefully that will change with this release. If you are a classic rock, or rock fan, you will definitely get your rocks off with album.
 Highly Recommended
